Speed Solution

Technical Specifications

Speed Solution provides secure, office-like connectivity speeds, coupled with ease-of-use. With iBAHN, your guests will receive the most secure, reliable, user-friendly high-speed Internet access available.

Proprietary IP Server
The power behind Speed Solution is the technology of iBAHN’s proprietary IP server. This server displays two connection options to your guests when they first access the iBAHN system:

The iBAHN IP server stores and delivers the guests’ speed and price selection for the duration of the Internet section – typically 24 hours.

Innovative Bandwidth Management
iBAHN Speed Solution bandwidth control software prevents a single user from overwhelming your Internet system. By preventing system abuse, more guests are able to enjoy a positive Internet experience. By automating the bandwidth management, hotels avoid the headache of manually monitoring and adjusting bandwidth levels on a guest-by-guest basis.

T1 Data Circuit
Speed Solution requires a dedicated T1 data circuit. iBAHN can use an existing T1 data circuit at your hotel or this may be purchased from iBAHN.

Secure Broadband Network
The Farpoint Group, a leading independent consulting firm, certified iBAHN as having more experience and success in the design and installation of secure networks than any other provider. Thus, the secure iBAHN broadband network is designed to meet the technology needs of hotels and guests.

iBAHN’s patented end-to-end network architecture delivers industry-standard, enterprise-grade security; protects from viruses and malicious attacks; and facilitates VPN connectivity with discrete IP addresses.

Ease of Use
With a simple, user-friendly interface, iBAHN provides guests with a high-speed Internet experience using Ethernet, wireless or through a corporate VPN – securely and quickly.

"OUR INTERNET PROVIDER WAS JUST NOT CUTTING IT."
iBAHN EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS AT HUNTINGTON HOTELS

CHALLENGE:

In just a couple of years, high-speed Internet access has become the most important amenity to Dallas-based Huntington Hotel Group’s guests.

“Our Internet provider just wasn’t cutting it,” said Mike Siegel, vice president of Operations for Huntington Hotel Group, which includes Marriott- and Hilton-branded hotels throughout the United States. “Guest complaints were rising, and our satisfaction scores were plummeting. Our provider’s overall level of service also left a lot to be desired.”
