Global Product Manager – Meetings and Conferences
The Global Meetings & Conference Product Manager is responsible for product line strategy that drives profitability, aligns with company initiatives, increases shareholder value, and meets the customer needs in the global Meeting and Conference markets.
Position is based in Denver, Colorado.
Essential Responsibilities: other duties may be assigned
- Define (with key stakeholders) the short and long-term global product strategy for meetings and conferences.
- Responsible for strategic market analysis, product positioning, product life cycle management, pre-launch price analysis and profitability, post lunch analysis of product release, and product development prioritization on a global scale.
- Work with Regional Product Managers to gain global market knowledge and competitive intelligence.
- Lead global market research activities to evaluate customer needs within the Meeting and Conference area.
- Work with Regional Product Managers to identify the potential for new products and/or product improvements.
- Champion new market development initiatives.
- Detailed knowledge of competitor’s product offerings and development of opportunities to improve product differentiation through enhancements and other strategies.
- Lead the beta testing programs for new products/enhancements.
- Develop the product launch information which is then handed to the Regional Product Manager for the development and execution within the respective region.
- This launch package includes product features and benefits, initial product training to regions product managers, performance statistics, comparison to competitive products, market segments and targets for the products, pricing and margin expectations.
- Responsible for P&L management and analysis including:
- Monthly sales results via teleconference with Regional Product Managers to discuss performance versus budget, share success stories, etc.
- Development of global revenue and margin enhancement initiatives
- Executive presentations and results meetings
- Develop a business case for investment in or change in direction of the product line based on global market dynamics.
- Evaluate the portfolio of Meeting & Conference products and continually evaluate the effectiveness of the portfolio in achieving company business objectives.
- Central communication source between Regional Product Managers and Engineering, and Meeting & Conference leadership team.
- Establish relationships with key thought leaders in the field
- Work closely with Global Product Marketing on global product launches.
- Develop relationships with internal, global cross functional teams, sales and business unit leaders
- Establish relationship with Global Account Management and Regional Sales team to ensure their input is effectively integrated into the product management processes for customer input, sales training and documentation and market messaging.
- Develop global key performance indicators for the products and services
Requirements, Experience and Competencies:

- 3-5 years of global product management experience

This position will be responsible for networking design, processes, implementing, managing and troubleshooting Cisco network and system environments, and for supporting a variety of hardware.
This position is in Denver Colorado; 10% travel required. No relocation provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs, architects and provides support of Cisco- based Routers, Switches, Gateways, Security Solutions, and Network Management Solutions across LAN/WAN
- Designs, architects and provides support for network security
- Provides recommendations on architectural changes and design enhancements to the infrastructure to improve reliably and performance, reduce cost, and anticipate Company growth and acquisition
- Creates / updates policies, procedures, and documentation to adapt to new technologies and business requirements
- Maintains relationship with telecommunications carrier representatives for the existing and future network installations
- Maintains detailed knowledge of company network standards and the overall regional and global network environments
