The Systems Analyst at iBAHN is a significant role in the IT department providing systems analysis and user support for key business systems, understanding of business needs and translate those needed into functional system requirements, and assist with general system administration tasks, including server, PC and telephone systems support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned
- Install, maintain & troubleshoot operating system and related software/hardware on multiple server systems
- Configure, install and maintain all servers (Windows and Linux) in regional point-of-presence (POP) facilities
- Coordinate and distribute periodic releases of proprietary iBAHN software to POP server systems
- Distribute periodic releases of images/patches/updates for domestic LobbyPCs using automated deployment tools
- Responsible for all POP and hotel network management systems (NMS) operations
- Provide Tier 4 support for Tier 2/3 Customer Care Engineers and field engineers, and clients when appropriate
- Participate in periodic team objectives/projects, and document solutions for knowledgebase
- Determine ongoing requirements for POP computer hardware, and create corresponding purchase requisitions
- Assist in developing custom scripts and data collection applications for the iBAHN proprietary hardware and applications
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
- Some college; Information Technology degree preferred
- 2+ years experience in systems administration, support and architecture with an emphasis on Linux based systems
- Extensive knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security and performance tuning
- Proficient with Linux operating systems and open source technologies
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP and proxy systems and technologies
- Working knowledge of Visio, Excel and other office products required
- Demonstrable experience with the architecture / operations of Nagios / Groundworks, Jopr, and OpenNMS
- Experience with Blade hardware
- XEN Virtualization environment
- HP SAN experienced
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting preferred

- Strong computer skills in word processing, maintaining spreadsheets and database programs - Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
